STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION

1
FOUNDATION COMPLETE The homesite is prepared, foundation forms are set, in-slab plumbing is installed, and the concrete is poured and cured.
2
FRAMING COMPLETE You'll be surprised how quickly this is done. The exterior and interior walls, floors and roof are framed.
3
ROOFING COMPLETE Your home is now "dried in." Decking, flashing and shingles have all been installed, followed by the house wrap and windows.
4
ROUGH MECHANICALS COMPLETE This is the behind the walls installation of your home's major mechanical systems. Hundreds of feet of electrical wiring, outlets and breaker boxes are installed. Heating and air conditioning equipment is put in place and plumbing has been installed. There are several municipal inspections at this stage too.
5
DRYWALL AND EXTERIOR FINISH COMPLETE Now you can really begin to see your home take its final shape. After mechanical inspections are complete and insulation has been installed, exterior and interior wall surfaces are covered and finished.
6
DOORS AND TRIM COMPLETE Once your drywall is complete and the texture has cured, the trim carpenters arrive to install all the interior doors, trim and molding, as well as any staircase railings and balusters if applicable.
7
CABINETS, COUNTERTOPS AND PAINT COMPLETE Your long awaited vision begins to come to life as the design selections you made are installed.
8
FIXTURES AND FLOORING COMPLETE Your paint is dry and your plumbing and light fixtures have been installed as well as your flooring selections.
9
BUILDER ACCEPTANCE Your home looks ready but we will perform one final and thorough inspection of your entire home and systems to assure that it is ready for you to move in.
10
HOMEOWNER INTRODUCTORY TOUR Your builder will introduce you to your new home and familiarize you with all of its unique features and systems. You are now ready to close and be given the keys. Welcome home!
